Few people think about the amount of trust that’s placed in busing companies that bring loads of children to and from school every day.  The fact is that school buses face the same risks as any other vehicle, and when something goes wrong it can lead to devastation.  While a crash involving a school bus on the way to Hialeah High School today did not lead to any injuries to passengers on the bus, it did lead to the death of the driver of the vehicle who slammed into it. Pedestrians have just as much right to access to roadways as those in any other type of vehicle.  They must follow the same traffic laws as everyone else, but when something goes wrong those on foot are at a clear and obvious disadvantage when faced with a collision with a moving vehicle.  Sadly, a woman and two children were hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon as they crossed a road in Hialeah. Palmetto Expressway Crash Kills Two

Driving in the early morning hours can be quite dangerous, even though traffic is generally light compared to rush hour. The danger is particularly acute when someone needs to pull off to the shoulder of the road, as one driver hauling a boat had to do at approximately 4 a.m. this morning. Tragically, another vehicle crashed into the car, the boat and two people parked on the shoulder and two people were killed as a result. (more…)

Area Teacher Guilty of Abuse of Special Needs Child

Children with special needs generally obtain their education in facilities designed to meet the challenges present with these types of students. These designs also include teachers who are specifically trained to work with special needs children, and one of the obvious qualities that needs to be present in any teacher is an abundance of patience. Hialeah Man Killed in Rear-End Crash

When people drive at 4:30 a.m., they usually enjoy relatively light traffic and few obstacles on the road. However, that could also increase the risk in some ways given the types of drivers who tend to share those roads at that early hour. While no details have yet been released other than the fact that charges are pending on one driver, a Hialeah man was tragically killed this morning on the Palmetto Expressway when he was rear-ended. Therefore, when a clinic comes up in results, most people will basically assume that there is nothing to worry about in terms of the legitimacy of the professional who sees them.
